A little about me….
I’m Lindsey Foster von Kalben, principal designer with fvk Design of Markham.  I love interior design almost as much as I love working with great clients.  I believe that to create the right space, I have to be a good listener. Interior design needs to be a collaboration with clients, to create beautiful spaces that will bring them joy.

I’m smart – I have a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a Major in Marketing from the University of Guelph, and Certified Interior Decorator Certificate from Seneca College.  

I’m experienced – I have over 10 years of experience in interior design, with a background in cabinetry design and home organization.

I’m proud – I’m an entrepreneur.  I have two beautiful sons and a wonderful husband, and I love my job!
I’m Zen - I grow an organic vegetable garden, and practice yoga as often as possible.  

I’m engaged - I am the Membership Director of the Canadian Decorators Association (CDECA) for Toronto and a member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA).  I am the only designer in York Region who dedicates hundreds of hours to ongoing training and development.

I’m challenged – I like to work with my hands. Social media is beyond me, that’s where Brittany comes in!

As a recent Design graduate of Humber College, Brittany Leonard is our Jr. Designer.  She is the master of all things “social”, and keeps fvk Design up to date on facebook, instagram and twitter.  Brittany helps out with clients trade days and styling days.  She is an integral part our project management strategy which keeps fvk Design affordable and efficient.

As the newest member of our team, Sumaira Azmat is interning with fvk Design as she studies Interior Decorating at Seneca College.  Sumaira brings a fresh new perspective with her design training in Pakistan.  She is an enthusiastic learner and helps out with design projects and seminars.
